Hi, I’m Nigel “the party” King.

I have been a DJ for many years: From the ‘club years’ starting at the L.A. Hotel in Durban during the late 80s, to Bonkers in Florida Road during the 90s, to ‘54’ in Pinetown until 2002, to the ‘mobile’ years that have included many corporate functions, 21st, 40th & 50th birthdays, as well as many weddings all over South Africa.

I am always very passionate about every single function that I do! And when I receive emails from bridal couples saying “Thank you so much for the wonderful music at our wedding! Everyone is still commenting on how incredible the music was... especially the DJ!”, it is so rewarding to know that I have provided cherished memories from a special day!

I joined Top Jocks in 1993 and I relocated to Johannesburg from Durban in May 2003. I am now available for all functions & weddings in Johannesburg & Pretoria and surrounding areas. And as I have always been known as the 'travelling Top Jocks DJ', I am still available for functions & weddings in the KZN Midlands and in the Drakensburg. (Travelling costs to these venues are as per the Top Jocks travel rate from Durban – not from Johannesburg!).

My music collection is massive! I have everything from the classic hits of the 50s & 60s, to the funky 70s and the awesome 80s, to the 90s, right up to today’s biggest hits! And as every function is different, I will always tailor the music to the requirements of the function. I will also be more than obliged to play specialist music such as Afrikaans, Greek and Portuguese traditional music as required.

Live mixing on professional DJ CD players enables me to ‘gel’ with the dancefloor and together with my many years of experience, I am certainly able ‘read the crowd’ and keep the dancefloor full all night! With my professional sound & lighting, I am able to provide quality entertainment, reliability and ultimately a highly successful & memorable function or wedding!
