Hi, I'm Nigel (the party) King.

I have been a DJ for 25 years. Most guys my age prefer to play golf...but some reason I still prefer to DJ! (Okay...my golf game is a little rusty...ha ha!).

From the club years in the late 80s at the L.A. Hotel in Durban, to Bonkers in Florida Road during the 90s, to 54 in Pinetown until 2002, to hundreds of weddings & functions all over South Africa; this is what I do and I love it!

Apart from the professional aspect, which is always non-negotiable for me, I am always very passionate about every single function that I do! By engaging with all clients from start to finish on a personal basis, I am able to ensure every function or wedding is a great success! When I receive emails from bridal couples saying - Thank you so much for the wonderful music at our wedding! Everyone is still commenting on how incredible the music was... especially the DJ!...it really makes the extra effort worth it!

I joined Top Jocks in 1993 and relocated to Johannesburg from Durban in May 2003. I am now available for all functions & weddings in Johannesburg & Pretoria and surrounding areas, even at Sun City! And as I have always been known as the 'travelling Top Jocks DJ', I am still available for functions & weddings in the KZN Midlands and in the Drakensburg. (Travelling costs to these venues are as per the Top Jocks travel rate from Durban, not from Johannesburg!).

Great sound & lighting is essential, but at the end of the day it is the MUSIC that is KING! My extensive music collection, which I update weekly with only original music, includes everything from the classic rock and roll hits of the 50s & 60s, to the funky 70s and the awesome 80s, to the 90s, right up to today's biggest top 40 hits! And as every function is different, I will always tailor the music to the requirements of the function. I can play specialist music such as Afrikaans, Greek and Portuguese traditional music as and when required.

To be able to provide quality entertainment, reliability and ultimately a highly successful & memorable Top Jocks function or wedding, is what it is all about!
